Frederick Charles Gallot and Elizabeth Johnstone

Frederick Charles Gallot was born on 13 November 1867 and become a labourer (1899 electoral roll) and later a carrier.  Frederick was baptised on January 5 1968 at St Pauls in Symonds St in the presence of, witness, Sarah Ann Renshaw.

He married Elizabeth Johnstone, on March 27 1901, and they lived in Ponsonby, like most of his family and whilst living at Wellesly St, their first child, Frederick Arthur Gallot died in infancy on 14 April 1902 at only 16 months old, and was buried at Purewa cemetery (ref 667 – E036098) by C Little.

 Elizabeth died Aug 15 1962

 “On Aug 13 1962 at 17 O’Neil Ave, beloved wife of Frederick Charles and mother of Norman.  Mother in law of Ivy and grandmother to Norman, Selwyn and Winston; age 81 years”

 Frederick died. 25/6/54, aged 86;

 “Frederick Gallot.  At Middlemore hospital.  Dearly loved brother of Amelia Ainsworth.  Peacefully sleeping”

 The couple are both buried at Purewa cemetery (ref E036099).
