Arthur Lee Guinness

Arthur Lee Guinness

Son of Arthur Guinness II and partner in the brewery.  Lived at the bachelors quarters at St James Gate.

Rebelled against the family ethos in several ways; actually had little interest in brewing, he was an esthete, voluptuary and probably a homosexual.  Politically he was a idealistic in the roman byronic mould.  Like the poet, he was a passionate Graecophile and an upholder of the rights of oppessed.
